On the morning of 22nd September 1964, Robert Jacobs was preparing to oversee the test launch of an Atlas missile. As he and his team watched the test-nuke climb skyward over Pacific Ocean, all appeared fine. The next day, however, classified film footage of the launch was shown to have captured an astonishing occurrence: a disc-shaped object could be seen approaching the missile and striking it several times with what appeared to be laser beams. The missile then tumbled out of orbit. This UFO had essentially shot down a dummy atomic warhead. Jacobs was sworn to secrecy. Years later, he would blow the whistle on what happened that day and would state his firm belief that the actions of the UFO that day were a purposeful demonstration of extra-terrestrial power, and of the dangers nuclear weapons pose to humanity.
